They don’t look that old… but the Nohls have some grand children
old enough to drive. Earl and Phyllis must have married real
Prior to the Nohls coming to Freedom Baptist, the young church
had no pianist. The song leader led the song service using just
the built-in midi on a digital keyboard. Imagine that. A keyboard
with no one playing. On their first visit someone tipped off Pastor
Ogle that Phyllis played the piano. Guess what happened… God
answered another prayer. And it was a double answer. Not only
did the church get a great pianist and music leader, Earl became
a charter deacon and church treasurer.
The Kohl’s ranch is in rural Deer Creek. Where the entire church
was graciously invited for Fall Fest several years. Always a great
time of fellowship.
In addition to singing and playing the piano, Phyllis plays the
guitar, runs her own beauty salon, referees volleyball, golfs
(it’s been said that she can beat Steve Turbott), she is a
puppeteer and a clown.
Earl accepted the Lord at home. Phyllis at an Old Time Camp
Meeting. Aside from their love for the Lord, Earl, says they are
